Hi everybody!
Please feel free to browse my published work. I am available to write features, news reports, reviews, press releases, newsletters and advertising copy. I am also an experienced sub and have extensive knowledge of the Tera publishing system.
Born in Birmingham, I cut my journalistic teeth at Cater's News Agency as a court and sports reporter. I then moved to the Birmingham Daily News where I became a senior reporter and later a feature writer. My proudest moments were working on the Lockerbie disaster, the Kegworth air crash and the release of the Birmingham Six. I have also done a number of celebrity interviews including Pavarotti, Joan Collins, Andy Williams, and entertainers Shane Richie, Dara O'Briain and Jamie Oliver.
After spending time teaching journalism, I returned to work for the short-lived environmental national 'The Planet on Sunday'. I then went freelance, working with many Midlands-based staffers.
After moving to Devon, I was taken on as a content editor for the Exeter Express and Echo, voted regional newspaper of the year 2004.
I turned freelance again in 2005 and have recently written for the Guardian, the Sunday Express, the Mail on Sunday, New! magazine, Fresh magazine and Practical Family History. I also work as a tutor for the London School of Journalism and present a radio show on Phonic FM, which you can listen to if you click on the link on the left hand side of this page.
